My 30 Minutes A Day goal for the month of March was to walk every day. I chose this because I knew it would be a busy month due to my travel plans, so it was very simple to incorporate it into my daily schedule. That is key when choosing a challenge for yourself, make sure it is something doable by looking at your month ahead and seeing what you have planned.
I went walking around New Orleans, on the Disney Wonder’s beautiful running deck, all around Cozumel, Cartagena, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, San Diego and then back to home and it was a joy. Walking around a city or town is a wonderful way to discover the area around you and to fully immerse yourself in a location. I love when I can incorporate healthy movement effortlessly into my traveling.
In 30 minutes, I averaged 2.3 miles every day which adds up to 71.3 miles and 930 minutes of exercise! It didn’t feel like much every day but little by little it adds up! I love exercise and I view getting to move my body as the ultimate blessing. Imagine what you can achieve in just 30 minutes. Here’s to another month of cultivating joy!
